When it comes to core, Canadian big mountains, Revelstoke is at the top of the list. The reason why many of the best big mountain riders call Revelstoke home: natural, raw terrain is on their doorstep beckoning with every massive snowflake that falls. Storms converge here and dump on average, 40-60 feet of perfect blow snow per year – yip, enough for multiple face shots day in and day out for all of you! It is just one big natural playground! The town of Revelstoke is located in south eastern British Columbia, between the Monashee and Selkirk mountain ranges. Because of the vastness and variety of terrain (not to mention all that snow), RMR is the only resort world-wide that offers heli, cat and lift-accessed service to guests. And, that's what we are offering you! North America's highest lift-serviced vertical and it doesn't need to stop there if you are willing to hike for it. You'll get 3,121 acres of fall line skiing and boarding, high alpine bowls, 15 tree areas to choose from and phenomenal groomed terrain.

There are a lot of cool things about the town and resort of Revelstoke. That's why we chose it for you! This picturesque place is in the heart of the Columbia Mountains, between the Monashee and Selkirk Mountain ranges. Virtually mid way between Vancouver and Calgary, visitors can choose to either drive from one of those international airports, or fly right into the small Revelstoke airport.

You will find a shiny new ski-in, ski-out resort at the base of the mountain, complete with the Nelsen Lodge, The Rockford Wok Bar & Grill, Wino (the brand new wine bar) and the new coffee shop. From there, it is just steps to the gondola that whisks you up the mountain in style and comfort.

On the mountain you can stop for lunch at the awesome Mid Mountain Lodge, which features many delicious dishes to keep you fuelled throughout the day. For a bite on the fly, stop in at the McKenzie Outpost at the top of the gondola – this way you wouldn't miss any virgin lines!

Speaking of lines, you won't find any at Revy…lift lines(queues) that is. The amount of terrain is mind blowing, and all they need is 4 high-speed lifts to access it all. You'll ski or snowboard to the bottom of the lift, and most often times slide right back on. Even after a season here you won't feel the need for more lifts to access terrain or even for crowd control.

The locals at the resort will have deep powder equipment on and stashed in their backpacks. It's a place where skinny planks aren't the norm, and where ultra wide, rockered skis, and split boards are common place. Don't get us wrong, the groomers are long, and steep and if you can ride from the top to the bottom without stopping, you've definitely got thighs of steel and some serious staying power. And, they're fun! So, this is definitely the kind of place where you want to improve your riding.

You'll also want those super fat (and phat) boards for when you go cat and heli skiing. For decades, helicopter and cat skiers from around the globe have flocked to Revelstoke for it's deep, light powder, varied and vast terrain, and accessibility. Selkirk Tangiers Heli Skiing is the 3rd largest operation in Canada with 500,000 acres of exclusive terrain. You know what that means: fresh lines all day! And for your cat skiing adventure, you will ride the lifts to the top of the mountain, and jump into your lift for the day – the snow cat. It will take you into untouched open bowls and glades where again, you'll enjoy fresh, untracked powder snow all day long. Tell us you not sold on this place yet!

Here's another part about Revelstoke that we love – the town! Unlike most ski resorts where you will be spending time with tourists and seasonal employees, at Revelstoke you will be living in a real town, with real residents (8500 to be exact), who are really passionate skiers and boarders. You will also get all the benefits of living in a town, including a variety of amazing restaurants, bars, pubs, activity centres, aquatic facilities and all the other amenities you would expect. In short order, Revelstoke will begin to feel like your home-away-from-home. The hill is only a few min shuttle ride from town, with shuttles running all day.
