Learning to become a ski instructor at Revelstoke will be one of the best things you do. Aside from the great town, the rocking night life, good restaurants, superb locals, this mountain will hone your skills the minute you click in. When you look at the mountain stats, only 7% is beginners terrain. Great news for you, as you won't be a beginner for long! Revelstoke is a skiers dream, you will fall asleep dreaming about living the lifestyle of an instructor and wake up 12 weeks later qualified to a CSIA level 2 standard and will have had a awesome time doing it!

Dan Sculnick is the Ski School Director at Revelstoke Mountain Resort. He and his team of highly qualified coaches are waiting for your arrival this coming winter. They perform to a very high standard, so fit right into Snow Rehab's 'its all about you' attitude. You may be asking yourself right now what level you have to be, to be able to check into a course like this. Dan and his team focus their training around the Canadian Student Centred Approach and make sure every student, regardless of ability, get 100% focus. After all, Dan and his team intend on having a 100% success rate from all students at the end of the course!

What we promise is the best industry career advice around to help you get the job you want. Your course is like a long interview process and those who work the hardest get the biggest rewards. So, we can't promise you work, but your certification will get you the qualifications you need!

COURSE SCHEDULE 

WEEK 1 Flight day and resort arrival. Meet the team, introduction to the resort and facilities. Collect your season pass. Free ski demo by Head. Find the legs and get to know the mountain with the Snow Rehab team over the weekend.

WEEK 2 Level selection with Revelstoke ski instructor team. Mountain orientation from your trainers. Weekend free time.

WEEK 3 Training starts on basic ski instruction. CSIA five skills will be introduced. Terrain adaptation skiing on and off piste. Weekend AVI awareness course

WEEK 4 Continuation of ski improvement focusing on individual skills. Instructor training focusing on basic teaching skills. On and off piste terrain. Weekend free time to let it all sink in.

WEEK 5 Level 1 preperation week, ski improvement, running gates, racing against you colleagues for fun. Learning how to deal with steep and deep terrain as well as tree runs. Teaching practice with your colleagues. Weekend free time to study.

WEEK 6 Level 1 CSIA exam this week. Good luck everyone. First aid course on the Sunday

WEEK 7 Play time. Week off to celebrate and practice your talent with friends before starting the level 2 training.

WEEK 8 Level 2 instructor training starts with a week of ski improvement. You will be skiing to a better level now and be pushed to your limits by the trainers. Week end off.

WEEK 9 Continuation of instructor training, training your eye to identify skill weakness in other skiers. How to plan a good lesson, focused on student centred approach. Week end off to let in sink in.

WEEK 10 Preparation week for the level 2 exam. Weekend off to study.

WEEK 11 Level 2 CSIA ski instructor exam. Long weekend and Cat Skiing option.

WEEK 12 Mountain swap, leave Revelstoke for Big White, first couple of days with Big White instructor team then enjoy the mountain and PARTY!
