CSIA LEVEL 1 CERTIFICATION

SHORT STAY INSTRUCTOR HEAVEN!

So you can't make it for the full 12 week ski instructor course? No worries, we have thought about that and whipped up a shorter one for you! Revelstoke blow is waiting for you regardless of how long you can get away for…….and we don't mean the illegal kind - we are not that type of rehab! What we mean is the snow, which is known to the locals as "blower!". It explodes all around you as you ski through it, and we'll teach you how. Even if you can only stay for a little while, you will be treated to some of these awesome conditions. People say you can't guarantee the weather, and that is true, but snow…….well? WARNING……you will leave this course wanting more!

LEARN FROM THE BEST IN REVELSTOKE!

Snow Rehab along with Revelstoke Ski School have put together an awesome 6 week level one ski instructor course just for you. On successful completion you will be given your CSIA level 1 certification and badge which will allow you to seek employment within the snow sports industry as a ski instructor.

Even if it is only to satisfy your addiction to snow for a short time, the Snow Rehab team will deliver. If the cure is just to help you get your qualification, we will give you the encouragement & expertise to get the job done. If it is to give you the opportunity to party during your gap year ski instructor course, we will give you that too! Or are you intent on getting the opportunity to ski on some of the worlds best snow found only in Canada? Whatever your reason, the Snow Rehab team have many on-snow addictions, from powder skiing to playing on sleds, but our main focus is helping our clients have the best time possible, while working toward their certification.

Our course is not the shortest fix out there and if you want to know the reason just give us a call!

Looking for career advice once you've received your level 1 CSIA certificate? Dan Sculnick, Director of the Revelstoke Outdoor Centre will point you in the right direction. And, if you have worked hard to develop your skills and have an awesome attitude, he might even give your first ski instructor job. Our team has many years of experience in the industry, and are always willing to help – you just need to ask. 

COURSE SCHEDULE

WEEK 1. Flight day and resort arrival. Meet the team,  introduction to the resort and facilities. Collect your season pass. Free ski demo by Head. Find the legs and get to know the mountain with the Snow Rehab team over the weekend. 

WEEK 2. Level selection with Revelstoke ski instructor team. Mountain orientation from your trainers. Weekend free time.

WEEK 3. Training starts on basic ski instruction. CSIA five skills will be introduced. Terrain adaptation skiing on and off piste. Weekend AVI  awareness course

WEEK 4. Continuation of ski improvement focusing on individual skills. Instructor training focusing on basic teaching skills. On and off piste terrain. Weekend free time to let it all sink in.

WEEK 5. Level 1 preperation week, ski improvement, running gates, racing against you colleagues for fun. Learning how to deal with steep and deep terrain as well as tree runs. Teaching practice with your colleagues. Weekend free time to study.

WEEK 6. Level 1 CSIA exam this week. Good luck everyone. First aid course on the Sunday

WEEK 7 Couple of free days to Party before heading for home
