CASI
Snowboard Instructor Level 2
The CASI Level 2 instructor certification is for all snowboarders who have passed the Level 1 certification and are looking to progress on to a higher CASI qualification. Having the level 2 certification allows for the teaching of more experienced snowboarders and is recognised globally.
The aim of the Level 2 course is to develop a skills-based teaching approach for intermediate and advanced snowboarding, as well as an understanding of the CASI technique and methodology. Like the Level 1 you will receive coaching on your snowboarding as well as teaching skills.
Level 2 combines:
- Rider Improvement
- Snowboard teaching methods
- Technical understanding and development
- Development of student interaction
- Development of technical analysis skills
I've passed! Who can I teach?
You are certified to teach intermediate to advanced snowboarders – now this is getting to be fun!
How long is the exam and is it stressful?
The exam is set over 4 days and you are assessed over the 4 day period. Expect a fun, enjoyable and relaxed atmosphere. If you ever feel any pressure all you have to do is breathe in some fresh mountain air and go for a free slide to clear your head! There is no stress in a mountain environment!
Where could I work?
In both Canada and the USA (with the correct visa if required).
