General FAQs

1.Do I Need A Visa?

You do not need a visa to come on a Snow Rehab course or holiday. If you are joining us from UK, Europe, NZ or Australia, you will enter Canada on a six-month tourist visa that you will get issued on arrival.

You would only need a visa if you were planning on working in Canada or staying beyond the 6 month tourist visa period.

2.Does Snow Rehab Arrange Insurance, And What Type Of Insurance Do I Need?

Snow Rehab does not provide insurance directly. However, as a Snow Rehab participant, you will benefit from 15% discount on various policies from our partners at ERV Insurance.

We recommend single trip winter sport insurance if you are joining us.

Please speak to your course advisor prior to organizing insurance regarding options and promotional code for ERV.

3.How Much Money Should I Save For Spending?
This is one we get asked a lot and is a hard one to answer... The best advice that we can give you is to budget as much as you think you will need and have a little extra. Then spend as little as you can and don't go mad buying everyone drinks on nights out. We hope this helps!
4.Why Should I Choose Snow Rehab Over Everyone Else?

5.Do I Have To Pay For The Course In One Lump Sum?

No! You can secure a place simply by paying a deposit. Once your deposit is paid, an easy payment plan is put in place and your spot is secured. All monthly payment plans are interest free. Call an advisor today to find out more.

6.Is My Money Financially Protected?

When you book a flight or flight inclusive course or holiday with Snow Rehab, your purchase is financially secured because Snow Rehab are ATOL protected. You will receive an ATOL Certificate. This lists what is financially protected, where you can get information on what this means for you and who to contact if things go wrong. Our Air Travel Organiser’s Licence number 10446.

7.Do I Require My Own Equipment?

As you will be spending a lot of time on snow we recommend purchasing your own equipment. Speak to a course advisor about the equipment discounts available to you as a Snow Rehab participant.

Instructor/Improvement Course FAQs

1.What Standard Do I Need To Be?

In general, we require our participants to be competent skiers or snowboarders. Essentially you need to be able to link turns and be comfortable taking to the hill on your own. Don’t worry, we are not asking you to be experts! We’ll get you to that point!

If you are unsure whether you are of a suitable standard to join our courses, speak to a course advisor and we will do whatever we can to help you get to where you want to be!

2.What Level Of Fitness Do I Need To Have?

Essentially, the fitter you are, the more you will get out of your experience. The fitter you are, the less likely you are to sustain an injury!

3.What Qualifications Do I Require For Employment?
Should you wish to instruct on varied terrain to all levels we recommend the level 1 & 2 qualifications. To instruct to beginners on beginner terrain a level 1 qualification will be suffice. To further your career and train others to become instructors you will require a level 3 qualification with a course evaluator qualification.
4.How Do I Decide Which Resort Will Be Better For Me?

We carefully selected each of our resorts offer some of the best terrain and experiences the world has to offer, to give you the chance to be the best instructors that you can be!
Our best advice for choosing which resort would be to contact one of our course advisors, we will help you decide depending on what you are looking for in your course experience!

Snow Rehab operates with a maximum amount of 24 participants at each hill. We find this is enough from a social aspect but allows us to keep our training groups to a 6-1 ratio and to focus on all round quality of service. For this reason our places go relatively quickly. Give us a call or email through contact us to find out how many places are available.

6.Are There Any Hidden Costs In Your Packages?

Our instructor packages contain absolutely no hidden costs. What you see is what you get, we provide more than any other course provider. All of your costs like flights, transfers, accommodation, exam fees, lift pass etc. are included! We strive to make your experience as great as it can possibly be!

Backcountry Course FAQs

1.What Standard Do I Need To Be?

Our Backcountry Courses require a higher level of fitness as you will spend a lot of time in the backcountry split-boarding and ski touring which can be an intense work out at times if you’re not the fittest!

4.Can I Work As A Heliski Guide?

Participating on this course gives you the qualifications to start the journey as a tail guide for a heli or cat operation. The AST courses give you an understanding of what is required to obtain your CAA level 1. From this you will also require an Occupational First Aid Level 3 to seek employment as a tail guide. Our Course advisors have further information about internships contact our course advisors

6.What Equipment Do I Require For The Backcountry Course?

As you will be spending a lot of time on snow we recommend purchasing your own equipment. Speak to a course advisor about the equipment discounts available to you as a Snow Rehab participant.

For the Backcountry Ski Course we recommend skis with touring bindings, touring boots, avalanche transceiver, probe, shovel (metal) and a 35 litre back pack.
7.How Soon Should I Reserve My Place?
