The backcountry awareness course will have you splitboarding, hiking and dropping the steeps of Revelstoke. Achieving the CAA Avalanche Operations Level 1 will give you a highly regarded qualification the world over, allowing you to work within patrol or progress as a heli or Cat guide. With weather and avalanche skills, advanced backcountry and snowboard improvement training, you will gain respect and obtain a comprehensive knowledge for snow conditions and avalanche risk assessment.

WEEK 1 Flight day and resort arrival. Meet theSnow Rehab and Revelstoke team for an introduction to the resort and facilities. Collect your season pass. Find the legs and get to know the mountain with the Snow Rehab team over the weekend.
WEEK 2 Five days of ski improvement in bounds with ROC coach. Weekend free time.
WEEK 3 Four days of terrain adaptation snowboarding on and off piste, then a day's taster of backcountry split boarding with skins on.
WEEK 4 Continuation of snowboard improvement with another day of backcountry touring and 2 day avalanche skills training course. Weekend free time to let it all sink in.
WEEK 5 Back on the snow to train hard all different terrain. By now you should really have your legs back to deal the two days of backcountry touring. Weekend free to relax those muscles and enjoy mountain life.
WEEK 6 Two days training on the hill before going out for 3 days touring backcountry
WEEK 7 Another 2 days focusing on snowboard improvement. Get the skins back on and under the rope again for the next three days. Your legs will be feeling it by now so we suggest some time in the Revelstoke Spa.
WEEK 8 Skins on and under the rope, then the AST level 2 course and some free time to practice all that has been learned up until now, or simply to relax.
WEEK 9 Two final days of snowboard training before the last 3 days of under the rope training prior to the CAA course.
WEEK 10 CAA Level 1 course.
WEEK 11 CAA Level 1 Course.
WEEK 12 Optional OFA 3 course or free time to relax and get out Cat Skiing!
