Our ski & snowboard instructor courses have begun in Big White Ski Resort for the 2015/16 season. We've sent an awesome group of riders out to shred some of the best powder in the world, to help them achieve their goals, or even kickstart their careers in the snowsports industry. Here's what our course participant James Cole (CASI Level 1 & 2) had to say after his first week...
Is there anything you've really enjoyed? Has anything been above your expectations?
Well I've only ever been snowboarding in Europe before. It's my first time seeing a resort with snow like this. The amount of snow is incredible!
Big White has saw 505cm so far this season. (Jan 19 2016)
And how are you finding riding waist deep powder?
I've done it a handful of times before, but if you haven't it's something you need to learn to do!
What other aspects of the course have stuck out for you so far?!
The accommodation here is awesome. The instructors have been amazing - we had Jamie last week and Fraser today. I have very good first impressions.
What level of snowboarder were you before the course? Do you feel like your riding has improved?
Oh yeah! Well, I've probably been riding for 5 years now. In that time I've been on about six 1 week snowboard holidays in Europe. I thought I was a good snowboarder but Snow Rehab will strip you right back to basics and teach you how to do everything properly.
How is the group? Are you enjoying the social environment in the resort?
It's a really good group of people out here; I've made some good mates already.
Anything you'd like to add?
Definitely come to Big White! (P.s. Go Timbers!)
